Water prices will be revised in two phases on 1 April 2024 and 1 April 2025.
When the full price revision takes effect on 1 April 2025, 3 in 4 households will see an increase of less than $10 in their monthly bills, before government support. The table below illustrates the projected change in water bills.
In FY2024, eligible HDB households will receive additional support on top of regular U-Save rebates. Visit the SupportGoWhere website for more information.
The enhanced Climate Friendly Households Programme will also support more households to purchase water-efficient household products. Visit go.gov.sg/climatevouchers for more information.

There are three components to the water price in the monthly bill.
Every drop of used water is collected via a separate network of sewers and channelled to the water reclamation plants for treatment, after which it is further purified into NEWater or discharged into the sea.
The Waterborne Tax (WBT) is a tax contribution to our national used water system, which is paid by all water users. It goes towards meeting the cost of treating used water and maintaining the used water network. It is charged based on the volume of water usage.
