Overview of Sungei Simpang Kanan

Under the ABC Waters Programme, pathways have been introduced along both sides of Sungei Simpang Kanan to improve connectivity between the housing developments and the Simpang Kiri park connector. A plaza at Canberra Link provides a communal space for residents to carry out activities next to the waterway.

ABC Waters design features such as rain gardens have also been incorporated along the waterway. The rain gardens use specially selected plants and soil media to detain and cleanse rainwater runoff before it is channelled into the waterway. Besides improving the water quality of rainwater runoff, the rain gardens also beautify the surrounding landscape and enhance biodiversity.
