Overview of Sungei Pandan Kechil

Drainage improvement works at Sungei Pandan Kechil were carried out on a 1.5km stretch from AYE to the sea to enhance flood protection at AYE.

The completed canal expansion greatly increases flood protection and the entire Sungei Pandan Kechil waterway is now able to cope with 30% more rainfall with higher conveyance capacity. The new canal is 22m in width at its widest.

On top of expanding the drainage capacity, ABC Waters features were added along the waterway to improve the aesthetics of the surrounding landscape, improve connectivity and create vibrant spaces for the community by the water. These include features such as raingardens, a boulevard deck, a community deck and a lookout deck.
