Under the ABC Waters Programme, Chestnut Drive Outlet Drain has undergone a makeover with lush greenery incorporated along the waterway. A new deck over the canal creates additional communal space for community bonding. 

ABC Waters design features such as rain gardens have also been incorporated along the waterway. The rain gardens use specially selected plants and soil media to detain and cleanse rainwater runoff before it is channelled into the waterway. Besides improving the water quality of rainwater runoff, the rain gardens also beautify the surrounding landscape and enhance biodiversity.
