Overview

Since 2004, PUB has progressively opened up its reservoirs for water sports and activities such as kayaking, dragon boating, fishing and radio control sailing and electric boating under the Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) Programme. By bringing the community closer to water, they can better cherish and appreciate this precious resource.

Kayaking and boating

Imagine a fun-filled day of water activities with family and friends. You can wind your way through the waters and bask in our nature habitat. Begin your aquatic adventure by approaching any of the operators below:

  • Singapore Waterski & Wakeboard Federation (SWWF)

  • Camelot Pte Ltd.

Radio Control and Electric Boat

Radio control sailing and electric boating is permitted only within designated areas at: Bedok Reservoir, Lower Seletar Reservoir and Pandan Reservoir.

Safety First

Water activities in the reservoirs are usually carried out as organised events where safety measures are established, or under the purview of National Sports Associations and competent Water activities Operators. This ensures that there is a proper sport framework, established safety and operational standards and procedures in place. The regulating of the reservoir water level via the discharging of water through tidal gates to the sea and/or transferring of water at the reservoirs may cause rapid flow in the reservoirs which can be dangerous, especially at isolated areas within the reservoirs where there is no ready help available for individual water activities users. Due to these considerations, the use of personal vessels including canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddling boards etc, is currently not allowed at our reservoirs and waterways.

For radio control sailing activities, please use only electric boats to maintain the reservoir's water quality. For the safety of visitors, launch boats only from designated decks and remove boats from the water when they are not in use. Please carry out activities only within designated areas and ensure that children are accompanied by adults.
As our reservoirs are natural habitat for many aquatic animals, all water users are required to put on covered and proper footwear at all times when carrying out water activities. All personnel shall also not immerse themselves or stand in the reservoir unless due to falling or capsizing.

We encourage everyone to be considerate and to ensure that your actions do not cause inconvenience to others.

We should all do our part to keep the environment clean.

All participants are required to adhere to the code of conduct during events or when carrying out water activities at the reservoirs.
