Refresher Course

All Licensed Plumbers are to attend the LP refresher course before the licence expires (if the PUB License card expiry date shows 31 Dec 2024 this year).

It is the responsibility of each Licensed Plumber to attend the refresher course timely once every 3 years. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the LP license.

PUB has appointed our industry partners, Building Construction Authority Academy (BCAA) and Singapore Plumbing Society (SPS) to conduct the LP Refresher course. LPs may register with either one of them.

For LPs registering with Building Construction Authority Academy (BCAA), please be reminded to apply and register with BCA Academy (Refresher Course for Licensed Plumber – Updates on Regulations and Air Test in Plumbing System) under course code 45033.

MediSave Contributions

Under the Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board’s Self-Employed Scheme, all self-employed persons (SEPs) who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents and earn an annual net trade income (NTI) of more than $6,000 need to contribute to MediSave.

This is to encourage SEPs to save for retirement and healthcare needs, in the absence of regular MediSave contributions from an employer.

Hence, PUB will only process your licence application if your MediSave payable is up-to-date, that is, you have either paid your MediSave in full or have an active GIRO arrangement with CPF Board to settle your MediSave payable.

To find out more about the Self-Employed Scheme or check your MediSave payment status, visit cpf.gov.sg/selfemployedmatters
